Sophie Liang obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia and has been called to the Bar of British Columbia and the Bar of Alberta.

She has extensive legal experience practicing business and commercial law, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions, Financing,
International Trade Disputes, and other corporate commercial matters. Before practicing law at Brighid Law, Sophie worked at the Vancouver office of a top-five global law firm and had received a scholarship by the Ministry of Justice of France for an internship at the Commercial Tribunal of Marseille and a national law firm in Paris. Sophie speaks, reads, and writes English, Mandarin, and Cantonese fluently.

Sophie has been a guest speaker on Fairchild Radio, a mentor for S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Business Immigrant Integration Support Program, and an instructor for SFU's Legal Translator and Interpreter Program.
